به گزارش صبح بهار، در روزهای اخیر، بسیاری از کاربران ایرانی با مشاهده تغییر نام “خلیج فارس” به “خلیج …” در سرویس نقشه گوگل (Google Maps)، واکنش تندی نشان داده‌اند. اقدامی که نه‌تنها خلاف اسناد تاریخی معتبر و نام رسمی این پهنه آبی است، بلکه تعرضی به هویت فرهنگی و ملی ایرانیان به‌شمار می‌رود.
نام “خلیج فارس” در طی هزاران سال، در نقشه‌ها، منابع تاریخی، اسناد بین‌المللی و حتی سازمان‌های معتبر جهانی چون سازمان ملل متحد به‌عنوان نام رسمی و غیرقابل تغییر این منطقه ثبت شده است. استفاده از عنوان جعلی “خلیج …” نه‌تنها بی‌اعتنایی به واقعیت تاریخی، بلکه حرکتی سیاسی و نگران‌کننده تلقی می‌شود.
کاربران ایرانی با ارسال گزارش‌های متعدد به گوگل، خواستار اصلاح فوری این خطای فاحش شده‌اند و اعلام کرده‌اند که تغییر نام “خلیج فارس” به هر عنوان دیگری، غیرقابل قبول است. آنان تأکید کرده‌اند که اجازه نخواهند داد چنین تحریف آشکاری در یکی از پرمخاطب‌ترین پلتفرم‌های جهانی تثبیت شود.
